Last Delivery for the month of April 2024

We did a lot of things in between this delivery run, aside from the usual grocery hunt of bargain cakes and books in Publix and Wegman, we were able to squeeze a walk to the Carnegie Library. Although the library building is still standing and as beautiful as ever, it is now being used as a museum lab and music hall.

We also visited the Carnegie Museum of Art and Natural History.  Saw dinosaur bones, gems, and insects. We also had a peek at the conservation lab where they are currently restoring a 3-part wooden Egyptian coffin. We also watched a baseball game at PNC Park, Pittsburgh Pirates vs Milwaukee Brewers. We enjoyed the game except for the part that the Brewers won. It was a good game though.

On our first day in Pittsburgh, we tried to visit the Andy Warhol Museum but it was a Tuesday and they are closed on Tuesdays.  Our fault, we didn’t check the schedule –it was a last-minute decision because we finished early.  We’ll have to save that for our next trip.

We were happy to visit clients and meet new customers. As always, we are grateful for your continued patronage.

A little update.

Our Malaysian sinking bags have sold out but we still have a handful of non-sinking Malaysian wood (mainly used for air plants and reptiles) left — less than 20 bags.

Re-stocking spiderwood.

We are expecting a new shipment of wood from Asia in June. We are excited to announce that we will be stocking our warehouse with 5-6 new types of wood, in addition to the NC and Malaysian driftwood that we currently carry. Most of the new wood has already been pre-sold, but don’t worry, we will be placing a new order once it arrives so that everyone can get their hands on the new varieties. So do get excited because we have a lot of gorgeous wood coming!
